Upper Truckee Marsh Bird Walk

Fall Migration at Upper Truckee Marsh

We’re excited to bird the Upper Truckee Marsh in South Lake Tahoe, one of Tahoe’s most active birding spots, as we search for migrating birds and those still fueling up before they head elsehwere. It should be a chilly morning filled with wildlife! Bring layers to shed as the morning warms up. We’ll meet at 8:30 AM and wrap up around 11 AM.

TINS Executive Director and birding leader Will Richardson will lead the way as we look for lingering songbirds, raptors, migrating waterfowl, potential shorebirds, and more. Come see what’s passing through Tahoe this fall and enjoy one of the best times of year to be out birding.
