Join plant ecologist Molly Ferry for a guided wildflower walk at Barker Pass for some late season wildflowers. Participants will explore native plants while learning from Molly’s work updating the classic Plants of the Tahoe Basin (Graf, 1999).
Wildflower Wednesdays are focused surveys of specific areas where rare or otherwise noteworthy species have been previously collected or reported. The goal is to assess the current status and ideally confirm the continued presence of these species as part of an effort to update Michael Graf’s 1999 Wildflower Guide. This may mean bypassing other interesting flowers to prioritize reaching key sites.
