Wildflower Wednesday Walk at Taylor Creek

Join plant ecologist Molly Ferry for a guided 2–3 mile jaunt around Taylor Creek Visitor Center. Explore native plants, meadow herbs, and understory flora while learning from Molly’s work updating the classic Plants of the Tahoe Basin (Graf, 1999).

Wildflower Wednesdays are focused surveys of specific areas where rare or otherwise noteworthy species have been previously collected or reported. The goal is to assess the current status and ideally confirm the continued presence of these species as part of an effort to update Michael Graf’s 1999 Wildflower Guide. This may mean bypassing other interesting flowers to prioritize reaching key sites.

What to Bring: Water, sunscreen, layered clothing, sturdy shoes, and a snack.

Meeting Point: This Google Maps location at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center parking lot in South Lake Tahoe.

No registration - just show up on time.
