School Programs

TINS offers a variety of in-school natural history programs and related field trips to supplement Tahoe region schools' science curricula. The goal of our programs is to awaken students’ curiosity of the natural world, inviting them to become engaged in their natural surroundings. Our programs promote responsible environmental citizenship by helping students develop the tools they will need to make informed decisions relevant to the Tahoe region's natural resource issues.

In-School Programs

Let us bring the natural history of the Tahoe region into your classroom! Our in-school programs are highly engaging, hands-on, and place-based specific to the Tahoe region. These fun programs allow every student to become active in the learning process, and are a great complement to traditional science curriculum.

Field Trips

TINS field-based programs are ever-expanding. We offer several nature-based, outdoor learning experiences that are tied into the Next Generation Science Standards adopted by both California and Nevada and can be adapted to meet the needs of any K-12 classroom.
