Nature Education

In the spring of 2020, TINS published 11 environmental learning activities each Monday, focusing on a diversity of place-based learning topics. Each lesson is geared toward elementary-aged students, with activities for K-2 and 3-5 graders.  These place-based lessons focus on environmental learning about our larger Tahoe home, from our individual homes. They can be used for home school curriculum, classroom learning enhancement, or to keep kids actively thinking throughout school breaks. Locally relevant science concepts serve as the starting point for activities based in writing, math, art, history, reading, and more. Additionally, each lesson includes resources to foster further curiosity.
