South Lake Tahoe Camps
We are thrilled to be offering five weeklong day camps this summer. For 2017, we have the following camps:
Campers Ages 6-8
Junior Entomologists - At Taylor Creek Visitor Center in South Lake Tahoe, young campers will look under logs, among plants, and in tree bark in search of hidden insects. They will also learn what these bugs eat and their important jobs in the ecosystem. Note: Drop-off locations will vary by day. Usually carpooling with other campers is a good option and can be arranged by you and other parents on the first day of camp.
Dates/Times: July 10-13, Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-1pm
Cost: $150; $125 for Tahoe Institute for Natural Science members
Campers Ages 8-10
Dates/Times: July 31- August 3,
Campers Ages 9-12
Tahoe Explorers - Campers will learn about wildlife ecology, forest ecology, water ecology, and geology of the Tahoe basin while hiking, kayaking, and learning from various natural science experts. Transportation and all activity fees are included.
Dates/Times: July 17-21, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Cost: $280; $245 for Tahoe Institute for Natural Science Members
