Nature Walks

One of our main goals at TINS is to make Tahoe's natural history more accessible for the community. Towards this goal, we offer FREE nature walks, led by expert guides. Most of our walks are geared towards birds, but we also offer outings focused on a variety of other topics: wildflower walks, butterfly walks, mammal tracking on snowshoes, astronomy, etc.

Walks generally are free of charge (free for members, modest donation requested for non-members), but space is usually limited, so pre-registration is required.

Please check the calendar on the Home page regularly, as we occasionally add outings on short notice!!

Village Green Bird Walks

For 2016, we are moving these walks to Thursdays. Join us every Thursday morning from May 5 - June 9 for a guided bird walk through Incline Village's Village Green. Tours are from 7:30am - 9:00am; pre-registration is not necessary. For more information contact Sarah Hockensmith at This email address is being protected from spambots.
