The 16^th Annual Lake Tahoe Summit, hosted this year by Senator Dean Heller and sponsored again by the Tahoe Fund, will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, at Edgewood Tahoe.  Edgewood is located at 100 Lake Parkway, Stateline, Nevada.  Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the program will commence at 10:00 a.m. Children from TINS summer camps who demonstrated an exceptional interest in nature will be receiving awards from Senators Heller and Dianne Feinstein and the governors of California and Nevada.

The theme for this year’s Summit is “Public-Private Partnerships – Investing in the Future of Lake Tahoe”.

Since the first Presidential Forum in 1997, a diverse group of stakeholders has gathered annually to celebrate the exquisite beauty of Lake Tahoe and focus on future needs.  Partnerships between the public sectors and private businesses have increased and are essential to continuing the outstanding work and progress that has been accomplished in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

General parking is available at the Horizon Casino Resort parking lot located on Lake Parkway.  BlueGo Transit will provide shuttle service from the parking lot to the event.  The Summit will be outside so please dress in Tahoe casual.  The Tahoe Summit is free and open to the public.
