South Lake Tahoe Camps
We are thrilled to be offering three weeklong day camps this summer and NEW this year, two of our camps will be based at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center. For 2016, we have the following camps:
Campers Ages 6-8
Junior Entomologists - At Taylor Creek Visitor Center in South Lake Tahoe, young campers will look under logs, among plants, and in tree bark in search of hidden insects. They will also learn what these bugs eat and their important jobs in the ecosystem. Note: Transportation is needed. Usually carpooling with other campers is a good option and can be arranged by you and other parents on the first day of camp.
Dates/Times: July 25-28, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 1 pm
Cost: $150; $125 for Tahoe Institute for Natural Science members
Campers Ages 8-10
Dates/Times: June 27-
Campers Ages 9-12
Tahoe Explorers - Campers will learn about wildlife ecology, forest ecology, water ecology, and geology of the Tahoe basin while hiking, kayaking, and learning from various natural science experts. Transportation and all activity fees are included.
Dates/Times: July 11-15, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Cost: $280; $245 for Tahoe Institute for Natural Science Members
