Volunteer Opportunities

As a small organization with a limited staff, volunteers can be tremendously helpful in achieving our mission and broadening our reach. However, training and coordinating volunteers can be extremely time consuming as well. We are currently hard at work developing a volunteer strategy, and hope to soon have systematic programs in place to utilize volunteers in two main areas: outreach and education.

Outreach volunteers will serve as on the trail docents, initially assisting us by co-leading natural history outings and then eventually leading their own hikes!

Education volunteers will have the opportunity to help out with classroom visits, school group field trips, and summer camps.

If you are interest in either of these programs, please get in touch and we will do our best to keep you apprised as volunteer opportunities develop.

If you are looking to get involved in data collection, check out our many Citizen Science projects. Other opportunities for our various research projects may be possible; contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
