Our Education Programs fulfill many needs faced by educators, parents, and a community investing in its future, by providing curricula, educational material, and instruction that conform to California and Nevada education standards. We engage students' curiosity of the natural world through place-based, experiential education that invites them to become connected to their immediate natural surroundings, and promotes responsible environmental citizenship by using critical thinking skills to develop the tools students need to make informed decisions relevant to the Tahoe region's natural resource issues. Detailed information regarding our in-school programming can be found by clicking HERE.

Our Outreach Programs bring this education to the rest of the community, engaging children and adults alike outside the classroom, and allowing for the public to learn about and experience the Tahoe region's natural history in a variety of ways: we currently offer walks, talks, Citizen Science, and other special events.  Please explore the site to learn more.
